The skin's hydration, resistance, tone and elasticity are crucial to its appearance. As it ages, skin becomes wrinkled and loses elasticity due the depletion of naturally occurring collagen, fat and hyaluronic acid, which keep the skin smooth and supple. Cosmetics and moisturising products such as anti-ageing creams act on the upper layers of the skin, primarily the epidermis. Because dermal fillers work in the dermis, the deeper skin layer, they achieve fundamental and lasting correction for wrinkles and depressions.
Treatment fills fine lines and folds, while the mouth can become fuller and lips more clearly defined. Augmentation in the cheek area can enhance the oval facial shape often associated with a younger appearance.
We use Juvederm or Teosyal fillers depending on the type of wrinkle/area to be treated. They are both made of a purified form of hyuralonic acid, which is a natural component of our skin. The results of a treatment last from six to twelve months.
